Summer Lunch Club - Free lunches for children this school summer holiday
With support from amazing local businesses and organisations like The Duke of Richmond,Daiwa Capital Markets Europe, Ustwo as well as working with The Beehive, Hackney Foodbank will be handing out free children's packed lunches from all of our distribution centres, Mon - Thurs & on Saturdays across 6 weeks during the school summer holiday, 26th July - 3rd September.
These packed lunches will be available to children that may be in need of a packed lunch, and will have some of the following provided:
Cheese salad sandwich
Piece of fruit
Raisins
Crisps
Fruit Juice
Locations of our distribution centres offering free children's packed lunches can be found below:
Mondays 11am-1pm: St John’s Hoxton Crypt, Pitfield St, N1 6NP
Tuesdays 11am-1pm: Our Lady & St Joseph R C Church, 100A Balls Pond Rd, N1 4AG
Wednesdays 5pm-6.45pm: The Leaside Trust, 34 Spring Lane, E5 9HQ
Thursdays 12pm-2.30pm: St Mary’s Church, Stoke Newington Church St, N16 9ES
Saturdays 10.30am-12.30pm: Florence Bennett Centre, Cherbury St, N1 6TL
Children's books donated by National Literacy Trust & British Land along with The Story Corner Magazines donated by Bookmark.
Lunches will be handed out on a first come first served basis and children must come to collect the lunches.
Please note: We will be closed on Monday 30th August for the August bank holiday.
Leaside Trust Summer Activities
Hackney Foodbank will also be providing packed lunches to young people taking part in The Leaside Trust's Summer Activities. Free spaces on the 4-day course dates are available to be booked for young people aged 8 - 16 here.
