With the amazing help of Pootitinyerbag community group, The Duke of Richmond and The Prince Arthur, Hackney Foodbank will be handing out free school lunches from 3 of our distribution centres.

The Northwick Trust, set up to help charities working to relieve suffering and hardship or focusing on protecting the natural environment, has just given us a £4,000 donation.

Michele and Andrew kindly donated these lovely handmade and eco-friendly face coverings to Hackney Foodbank.

Yvonne Booth, a member of staff at John Laing Charitable Trust has reached 15 years of service with the company and in recognition of this, has nominated Hackney Foodbank to receive a donation on her behalf.

Last week a whopping 5,347.45 kg of food donations were collected for Trick or Eat across Hackney, which makes it the second biggest donation we have received this year!

The Trick or Eat donation collection is returning for its second year this Halloween to collect vital supplies for Hackney Foodbank. We are grateful to the local discount card company The Local Buyers Club, who run this event.

If you can’t afford food, you can call 0808 2082138 (freephone) for free to speak to a trained and independent Citizens Advice agent.

Service will continue at our established centres for the time being. However, in light of the coronavirus, and to minimise risk, both to our volunteers and to clients, we have temporarily changed to an "at-the-door" service.
