Donate food

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now.

Donating at our Hoxton warehouse

Our warehouse address is: Florence Bennett Centre, Cherbury St, N1 6TL

If your donation is larger than four boxes worth, please book a delivery slot by emailing: [email protected]

Smaller donations can be made Monday – Friday, 0900-1200 without the need to book.

We have a very small warehouse so we want to make sure that we will have the room and the volunteers to handle your donation when it arrives.

Can I donate BABY MILK FORMULA?

In line with the guidance issued by UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (May 2019), we do not accept infant formula donations.  If you are keen to donate in support of young families, we encourage you to offer other food and drink items that the family can benefit from, such as baby food, nappies, baby toiletries, and baby wipes.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. The vast majority of food is used locally in Hackney, however occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food or if you would like to set up a collection at your school, house of worship, community group or place of work.

*When dropping your donations off at these locations, could you please label them with your name/email address. We would love to keep in touch and say thank you!
