Soccaroonies Do "Don't You Forget About Me": Uniting Families and Supporting Hackney Foodbank

At Hackney Foodbank, we are constantly amazed and grateful for the innovative and creative ways our community comes together to support those in need.

Mark your calendars for August 6th 2023, a date that promises excitement, compassion, and community spirit. Soccaroonies Soccer School invites all football enthusiasts and supporters of Hackney Foodbank to join them for their charity match, aptly named Soccaroonies Do "Don't You Forget About Me." The event aims to raise awareness and funds for both The Alzheimer's Society and Hackney Foodbank. By highlighting the importance of remembering those in need, Soccaroonies seeks to unite the community in tackling the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals and families.

Soccaroonies Soccer School, nestled in the heart of Clissold Park, offers a unique approach to coaching. By involving parents and children together in their training sessions, Soccaroonies fosters a sense of togetherness and strengthens family bonds. Beyond honing football skills, this soccer school understands the importance of relationships and strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.

More than just a place to learn sports, Soccaroonies Soccer School emphasizes the development of essential life skills. Through a combination of coaching, football games, and interactive sessions, participants learn valuable lessons that extend far beyond the soccer field. From teamwork and communication to resilience and perseverance, Soccaroonies nurtures character growth and equips individuals with skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Soccaroonies Soccer School firmly believes in the power of community and actively seeks opportunities to make a positive impact. Over the years, they have organized numerous charity events, rallying players to donate and contribute to worthy causes. Their fundraising efforts have supported a wide range of charities, including Mind, Suicide Awareness, Narcolepsy, Grenfell, The Crib, Safaplace, and The Evelina Children's Hospital. Now, with their sights set on our community, Soccaroonies has chosen Hackney Foodbank as a beneficiary for their upcoming charity match.

The Soccaroonies team has been fortunate to receive support from well-known celebrities who share their passion for making a difference. Previous events have seen the participation of DJ Spoony, Professor Green, Stacey Dooley, Jack Wiltshire, and many others. This year promises another star-studded affair as Soccaroonies brings together influential personalities who are committed to philanthropy. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win incredible prizes through a raffle and auction, including signed football shirts that will undoubtedly become cherished memorabilia.
