Local business hosts Hackney FooDBank’s volunteer event

On 8th June 2023, Hackney Foodbank was lucky enough to hold our celebration event for our amazing volunteers at the amazing Light Bar in Shoreditch.

As a valued member of our Hackney Foodbank community, we wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude for our volunteer’s dedicated and unwavering support. Their selfless efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of those in need, and it was our pleasure to invite them to a special Volunteer Celebration Event as a token of our appreciation.

Morton, owner of The Light Bar said, “having started and operated businesses in Hackney for more than 3 decades we take enormous pride in being able to help Hackney Foodbank and appreciate all the hard work they do for our community. We are also grateful for the kind support from; Fever Tree, Forest Road Brewery, Fin and Flounder, Camden Brewery, Asahi, East London Liquor Co who all kindly donated stock to this event.”

Hackney Foodbank is truly thankful for all that our volunteers do and we are especially thankful to The Light Bar and the aforementioned donators, so that we were able to properly celebrate those dedicated their time to helping the Hackney community.
